Spal door pop kit used for electrically opening doors with shaved door handles. This premium Spal Pop door kit comes with 2 heavy duty solenoids rated at 40 pounds of pull with over 1 inch of travel. The kit comes complete with cables & hardware. This kit also includes a remote controlled entry system with 2 4 button remote controls. The kit comes prewired with 2 internal relays for the solenoids making wiring easier than ever. The control module has seven channels, the extra channels can be used for rear pop door solenoids, electric trunk release or other optional devices. These outputs are low level and require relays such as our 8617 to be used. This kit does not include door poppers. Door poppers must be ordered seperately if necessary. A good add on to any pop door kit is an emergency cable entry kit (Cable-94300). This cable kit will give you an alternate way to open the doors in case of an electrical failure.
Setting up 4 doors? Add on 2 SIL40K solenoid kits and 2 8617 relays.
Want to add an electric trunk release? Add on the TK01KIT trunk release solenoid kit and an 8617 relay.
Solenoid Dimensions:
The solenoid body is 1 13/16 inches in diameter and 2 1/4 inches in length, not including the plunger.
The plunger extends to aprox 2 1/4 inches and retracts aprox 3/4 inch. (Typical)
There is no stopper on the plunger to limit travel so it is possible to extend the plunger up to 2 3/4 inches (1 1/4 inch travel) although power will be severely diminished at this travel.
The plunger does not have a spring to return it to its extended position.
The solenoid and bracket have a total installed height of 2 inches.
