Universal 15 pound light duty solenoid kit with cable and attaching hardware. This kit can be attached to many car trunks to allow electric release. A relay (part number 8617) may be necessary to connect this device to a keyless entry or alarm system. Need a heavy duty solenoid to pop your trunk? Take a look at the SIL-40K. It has 40 pounds of pull. Solenoid Dimensions: The solenoid body is 1 1/2 inches in diameter and 4 inches in length. The solenoid/cable retract 1/2 inch. The solenoid and bracket have a total installed height of 1 3/4 inches. The bracket is 2 1/2 inches wide.
