Essex Keypad Keyless Entry System.
This unit is designed to be top mounted in side panels or the door, making it ideal for mounting on Coaches and RV's. This system can be used to operate factory power door locks on most vehicles. It can also be used with one of our power door lock kits. The keypad allows keyless entry to a vehicle by entering a 3 to 8 digit code. Unit can also open the trunk (if equipped with electric release) and can turn on the dome lights before entering vehicle. The buttons on this unit have blue backlighting. Check the option above if you are replacing a unit that came installed on a Monaco RV, and it has a connector plug. Please note unit with connector is for replacements only.
Remote controlled keyless entry:
2 remote control options are available. The RE1704 Remote controlled keyless entry was supplied by Essex and came in many motor coaches in the 2000's. This option is recommended if you are replacing an existing remote control system. This option comes with control module and 2 remote controls. Verify that your remote controls look like the ones in the photo.
If you are installing a new system in your coach and wish to add remote control, we recommend the Avital 2103L remote controlled keyless entry by Directed Electronics. The keyless entry option comes with 2 remote controls and a seperate control module that will allow you to open your vehicle with either the keypad or by remote control for the ultimate in convenience.
