Installing a SPAL power window kit in a Nissan Titan.

Nissan Titan door panel

In order to install the power window kit, we must gain access to the doors interior.   The door handle and trim pieces are removed.  The hidden fasteners are removed and then the door panel is lifted up and off the door.

With the panel removed, it's time for us to choose the correct gear adapters.  The first adapter must match the splined window crank shaft exactly.  An adapter must be chosen that has no play in it and mounts snug on the shaft.   The photo on the right shows the secondary adapter being mounted onto the primary adapter.  The kit comes with 3 adapters of varying length.  The longest adapter that fits should be used so that the transmission mounts as close as possible to the door.
