Installing an Electric Life Power Window Kit
In a 1996 Volkswagen Golf
The plastic cover shown in the upper left photo is removed from the pillar between the front and rear door. The plastic wiring block under the cover leads into the wire boot to the rear door. We drilled a 3/8 inch hole in the block (using care not to damage the blue plastic vacuum line). The red green and blue wire loom is then passed through the hole, through the rubber boot and into the door.
Our covers and panels are then reassembled.
